Without the generous support of hundreds of regular people just like you, BuILD House wouldn’t be able to provide the quality care that makes us an example to the community and create a brighter future for some extraordinary people.
A small amount can make a big change!
Donations
BuILD welcomes the support of individuals and families in our community. Your gift or memorial donation of $25, $50, $100, $1,000, $5,000 or more helps to provide a quality program for the residents of the BuILD house. BuILD is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization (tax id #94-3284322), so your donations are tax-deductible.
You don’t have to be a millionaire to help: more than half of our donors give small amounts and $10 or $20 is very much appreciated!
BY MAIL If you would like to donate by mail, please send your check to the address listed on the front page: 2110 7th Street, Berkeley, CA 94710 (made out to BuILD House).
Feel free to indicate if the gift is on behalf of one of the residents or if you’d like to honor a friend or family member with your bequest.
ONLINE
Donate magazines, books, art supplies and occasionally, furniture Please use the form on the contact page to let us know what you have and how you’d like to get it to us. We can always use magazines in good condition, crayons, markers, water-based poster paint and paper as well as items on our wishlist. We are a 501c3, so no matter how small the gift, you will be able to take a deduction for your generosity.
Volunteer
We welcome volunteers of any age, ability or interest. Students of nursing, psychology, social work, and even high school students have found volunteering with us an enriching experience. Our volunteer program offers real work experience that can help on college applications and provide a springboard to careers oriented in human services such as medicine, occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy, and special education degrees. We can always use help, especially on weekends: going shopping, movies, ball games, going on hikes, watching or marching in parades, gardening, cooking, eating out, all the stuff everyone else likes to do, including our residents! Former volunteers also include: a physician, two nurses, an MBA and an occupational therapist. Contact us for more information.
